Khushi Muhammad's Story

Khushi Muhammad, a 53-year-old resident of Lahore, has been battling a cataract in his left eye, which is a devastating condition. His vision has been severely affected by this condition, making even the simplest chores difficult.

Khushi is the family’s only provider, making a meagre 15,000 rupees a month from his daily wage work. He lives in a rented house in Lahore with his wife and three children. Khushi is facing financial difficulties since he has a 30,000 rupee loan payments, 2,000 rupee utility expenses, and 8,000 rupee rent per month.

A ray of hope has emerged from the doctor’s advice that Khushi undergoes a Phaco + IOL surgery to treat the cataract, but the procedure’s high cost is still out of his financial means. He feels hopeless and desperate as it is getting harder for him to work and support his family as a result of his weak vision.

In desperation, Khushi spoke these words: “Your kind assistance would be a lifeline, giving me the chance to recover my vision and my independence.”

Khushi’s case has been registered with Transparent Hands, and we stand by his side, appealing to the compassionate members of the community to come forward and support him.

Your kind contributions have the potential to significantly improve Khushi’s life by allowing him to get the vital medical attention he needs and get his sight back. Your generosity could serve as Khushi’s beacon of hope, pointing him in the direction of a better future in which he can once more actively engage with his family and improve their quality of life.

By your support, we can enable Khushi to overcome this obstacle and start again in life with dignity and independence. Your assistance might be the turning point in Khushi’s story—from one of hopelessness to one of success.

Khushi Muhammad's Story

Khushi Muhammad, a 53-year-old man from Gujranwala, was suffering from short-sightedness and blurry vision. Upon consultation with a doctor, he was diagnosed with a cataract in his left eye. To restore his vision, the doctor recommended Phaco+IOL surgery. However, affording the cost of the surgery was beyond his financial abilities as he was already facing financial hardships. His family has a meager monthly income and they live in a modest home. Khushi’s life was badly affected by his visual impairment. He used to bump into things while walking and carrying out routine tasks became significantly challenging. He desperately needed the surgery but was unable to pay for it. If left untreated, the cataract could have become worse and increased the risk of glaucoma and even blindness. During this time of need, he contacted Transparent Hands and asked us for help. After listening to his concerns, we promptly registered the case. His surgery for Phaco + IOL was done at Life Hospital Lahore. Dr. Shaheer performed the procedure to restore his vision on 29th July 2024. Khushi Muhammad was overjoyed with gratitude and said, “Your contributions improved my quality of life. I can’t believe I can see clearly now.” The patient’s family is incredibly grateful to you for supporting them and making this surgery possible through Transparent Hands. Your support has brought light back into his life. Not only did you restore his vision but also allowed him to spend his life with independence and dignity. They will never forget your generosity.
