Ismail Tanveer's Story

Ismail Tanveer, a 4-year-old boy from Depalpur, Okara, has been suffering from shortness of breath, cyanosis and chest discomfort since birth. Even simple activities like playing with his siblings or walking a short distance leave him breathless. Concerned about his worsening health, Ismail’s parents recently took him to a doctor. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with VSD – Ventricular Septal Defect, RVOTO – Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction, and DCRV – Double-Chambered Right Ventricle. These conditions restrict proper blood flow, making it difficult for his heart to function effectively. His doctor has advised complete repair DCRV surgery to improve his condition. However, the cost of the surgery is out of his financial reach.

Without this heart surgery, Ismail’s condition will continue to deteriorate. It may lead to heat failure and Ismail will not be able to beat the disease.

Ismail lives in a small home with his parents and three siblings. His father works as a contract-based factory worker and earns just PKR 25,000 per month. With this meager income, managing utility bills, food expenses, and children’s school fees is already a struggle. They have no savings for medical expenses. This is the heartbreaking reality Ismail’s parents are facing and they are praying day and night for their son’s recovery. During this challenging time, his family turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.

With a heavy heart, Ismail’s parents said:

“Our little son’s heart beats too fast, and we fear every second. He asks why he can’t play like other kids, but we have no answer. Surgery can save him, but we can’t afford it. Please help us save our child.”
