Muhammad Kamran lives with his parents and four siblings. His father, a dedicated shopkeeper, earns a modest income of PKR 16,000 per month. As the sole breadwinner for the family, his father shoulders the responsibility of providing for their needs. However, the financial crisis they face makes it impossible for them to bear the expenses of Kamran’s much-needed surgical intervention.

However, the substantial expenses associated with the much-needed surgical intervention have made it impossible for them to afford the cost of the procedure.

Through the generosity of donors, Kamran was admitted to GIMS Hospital, where on May 10, 2024, the skilled hands of Dr. Maqbool expertly installed the internal component of the cochlear implant.

In the weeks that followed, Kamran underwent the installation of the external implant component, followed by a carefully planned series of speech therapy sessions.
