Help Ikram Regain His Vision Through Cataract Surgery
Muhammad Ikram's Story
Muhammad Ikram, a 38-year-old man from Multan, is suffering from blurry and dim vision. His deteriorating eyesight has made everyday tasks like traveling to work and supporting his family increasingly challenging. After visiting a local hospital, Ikram underwent a thorough eye examination which confirmed the presence of a cataract in his left eye. A cataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye, leading to a decrease in vision. The doctor recommended phacoemulsification (phaco) with Intraocular Lens (IOL) implantation as the best treatment to restore his vision. Unfortunately, the cost of this surgical procedure is beyond Ikram’s financial means.
Without this surgery, the risk of further vision loss will increase, which may lead to complete blindness in the affected eye. The condition may also result in increased dependency on others for routine activities, significantly reducing his quality of life.
Ikram lives in a modest home with his wife and two children. Ikram, the sole breadwinner in the family, is a daily wage laborer and makes just PKR 20,000 per month. This income barely covers the household expenses, including utility bills of PKR 2200 as well as school fees of PKR 2500. With no savings and no other source of support, Ikram has turned to Transparent Hands for assistance in this difficult time.
Ikram expressed his plea as follows:
“I worry every day about my worsening eyesight. My family depends on me, and I don’t want to become a burden on them. I need this surgery to continue working and living an independent life. Please help me get my vision back so I can live a normal life again.”
Your donations can make all the difference in giving Ikram a brighter future. Every contribution, no matter how small or big, will bring him one step closer to recovery. Let’s join hands to ensure Ikram can see the world clearly again and continue supporting his family with dignity.
Donate now and be a source of hope in Ikram’s time of darkness.
