Farzana Bibi's Story

Farzana, a 25-year-old woman from Karachi, anxiously awaits the birth of her third child. As she has a previous history of two C-section surgeries, she consulted with a gynecologist about her condition. Her doctor has made it clear that a C-section can ensure both her and her baby’s safety. Without this surgery, both lives are at risk.

Due to her condition, she faces difficulty in performing household tasks and taking care of her two young children. The anxiety due to her high-risk pregnancy is adding to the burdens in her life. She looks forward to welcoming her unborn child but her life is also overshadowed by fear and uncertainty of financial hardships.

Farzana lives in a one-room rented house with her husband and two young children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 22000 per month. Their financial situation is stretched thin with a rent of PKR 10,000, and utility bills amounting to PKR 5,000. There are no savings left to pay for the much-needed surgery. Every day, Farzana wonders how they will afford this life-saving surgery. In their search for help, Farzana and her husband contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.

Farzana’s husband said in despair:

“All I want is the safety of my wife and my unborn child. I work really hard, but I can’t afford the cost of her much-needed C-section surgery. My child’s life will be at risk if Farzana can’t undergo the procedure. This surgery is our only hope. Please help us in this time of need.”

With a history of two C-sections, attempting a natural birth is far too risky. Without this surgery, Farzana’s life and the life of her unborn child hang in the balance.

We urge you to help Farzana bring her child into this world safely. Your donation can make a world of difference for this family.

Farzana Bibi's Story

Farzana, a 25-year-old woman from Karachi, faced a challenging moment during her recent pregnancy. She had a history of two C-section surgeries which made her concerned about the safety of her child. She consulted a gynecologist and expressed her concerns. Her doctor emphasized that an elective C-section procedure was necessary to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. Farzana looked forward to welcoming her child but her life was also overshadowed by fear and financial hardships.

Farzana lived in a small rented house with her husband and two young children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, was a daily wage laborer and earned just PKR 22000 per month. Supporting a family of four while living in a rented house left them struggling to meet even basic needs. The financial burden of the surgery was overwhelming, and the family had no means to arrange for medical expenses. During this time of need, Farzana contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.

On 29th October 2024, Farzana was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Samreen Zeeshan carefully managed her case and performed her C-section. Farzana’s delivery was successful and she gave birth to a baby boy. With essential post-operative care, Farzana and her baby were discharged in stable condition on 31st October 2024.

Farzana shared her relief and gratitude as follows:

“I was so worried about my baby’s safety but you stood by us when we had no one else. I will always be thankful for your kindness and generosity. You gave me hope and saved my child.”

Farzana is recovering and her heart has filled with immense pleasure. She can have a happy life with her newborn, and she is now able to fulfill her daily responsibilities as a mother and housewife. All this was possible just because of your generous support. You truly changed Farzana’s life.
