Help Amria Safely Deliver Her Child
Amria Bibi's Story
Meet Amria, a 28-year-old woman from Karachi, who is facing one of the most challenging moments of her life. Amria is pregnant with her fourth child and she has undergone three C-section surgeries in the past. Due to complications in this pregnancy, her gynecologist has strongly advised another C-section, as it is the safest option for both her and the baby. Without it, they are at significant risk.
Amria’s days are filled with anxiety. Simple tasks that once brought her joy, like preparing meals for her children or maintaining her home have now become challenging due to her high-risk pregnancy. She is excited and nervous simultaneously. Due to her financial constraints, she is worried about the safe delivery and the potential risks in her pregnancy.
Amria lives in a 3-marla brick house with her husband and three children. Her husband is the Imam of a Mosque and brings in PKR 25000 per month. Amria is a housewife and her husband is the sole breadwinner in the family. They hardly manage to cover the cost of utility bills, groceries, medical bills, and other daily living expenses. The significant cost of the surgery is simply beyond their financial reach.
Amria expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:
“I am extremely concerned about my child’s safe delivery. My husband’s income fulfills our basic needs only. I don’t know how we can manage this surgery. I humbly request you to help us bring our child safely into the world.”
For Amria, this C-section is not just a medical procedure, it is a matter of life and death. This surgery is essential to protect her and her unborn child.

Amria Bibi's Story
Amria, a 28-year-old woman from Karachi, was awaiting the arrival of her child. This was her fourth pregnancy, and her previous three deliveries had also been through C-sections. It filled her heart with concerns and she received consultation from a gynecologist. The doctor strongly advised another C-section to ensure the safety of both mother and child, given her medical history and condition. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond her family’s reach.
Amria lived in a modest brick house with her husband and three children. Amria’s husband, a Masjid Imam, earned just PKR 25000 per month. Supporting a family of four on such a limited income was already a challenge, leaving them with no savings. The cost of the surgery was far beyond their financial capacity. The family was living hand-to-mouth and they felt helpless. With hope in their hearts, they reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
On 12th October 2024, Amria was admitted to the Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Her C-section was carefully performed by Dr. Farkhanda Saeed, and Amria safely delivered a healthy baby girl. After receiving post-operative care, both mother and child were discharged in satisfactory condition on 14th October 2024.
Holding her newborn baby in her arms, Amria expressed her immense gratitude:
“This surgery saved my life as well as my newborn’s life. Without your support, I don’t know what I would have done. Your support has filled my home with joy and given me the strength to care for my children. Thank you for being our lifeline.”
Amria’s successful surgery has brought immense joy and relief to her family. She can now focus on raising her children without the fear of health complications. Your generous contributions ensured her safety and happiness. You changed her life for the better and she is immensely thankful to you for your support.
