Gulnaz Bibi's Story

Gulnaz, a 21-year-old woman from Karachi, is eagerly waiting to welcome her unborn baby into the world. She received a consultation from a gynecologist about her condition. After a thorough examination and ultrasound scan, it was found that her baby is in a breech presentation in her womb. It is a condition when a baby’s feet are positioned to come out first during childbirth, instead of the head. The doctor told her that it’s a high-risk pregnancy and, to avoid complications, advised her to undergo C-section surgery to deliver her baby.

Gulnaz’s heart is filled with anxiety due to her condition and all the financial hardships in her life. She experiences discomfort due to her high-risk pregnancy. She lives in a 2-marla brick house with her husband and father-in-law. Her husband, the sole breadwinner, works as a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 28000 per month. With monthly utility bills of PKR 3000, groceries, and daily living expenses, they struggle to make ends meet. The significant cost of the much-needed C-section surgery is far beyond their financial capacity.

In this time of difficulty, Gulnaz and her husband reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us for help.

Gulnaz’s husband said in despair:

“All we want is the safe delivery of our first child. Due to the complications in Gulnaz’s pregnancy, there is a significant risk. I don’t have enough money to pay for her C-section surgery, and to ensure a safe delivery. I humbly request all donors to support us in this time of need.”

The C-section surgery is crucial for Gulnaz, allowing for the safe delivery of her baby as the vaginal delivery can cause various health risks to her and the unborn child.

Imagine Gulnaz’s joy when she warmly welcomes her baby and holds the healthy child in her arms. We urge you to come forward and donate for Gulnaz’s C-Section. Together, we can bring hope into her life and let her welcome her child into the world.

Gulnaz Bibi's Story

Gulnaz, a 21-year-old woman from Karachi, faced a challenging moment in her life when she was pregnant with her first child. She was excited to welcome her first child, but her joy turned into anxiety when she went to a doctor to receive a consultation. Her doctor performed an ultrasound scan and some lab tests and found out that her child was in a breech presentation in her womb. Therefore, it was necessary for her to undergo a C-section procedure to avoid risk and potential complications. Gulnaz understood the necessity, but she knew that affording the surgery would be a struggle.

Gulnaz lived in a modest house with her two family members. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, worked as a daily wage laborer and earned just PKR 28000 per month. This income was insufficient to even cover their essentials. Affording to pay for her surgery was significantly challenging for them. Gulnaz’s heart was filled with concern due to her condition and all the financial hardships in her life. Her pregnancy was high-risk and it was necessary for her to undergo a C-section. During this time of need, Gulnaz reached out to us and asked us for assistance. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.

On 15th September 2024, Gulnaz was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery took place on the same day. Dr. Farkhanda Saeed performed her C-section surgery. The procedure went smoothly and she gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

As she held her newborn, Gulnaz’s relief and happiness was indescribable. After the C-section, Gulnaz was hospitalized for two days and received post-operative care. On 16th September, Gulnaz was discharged in stable condition from the hospital. Gulnaz shared her emotions as follows:

“I was so afraid of what might happen without help. But because of your kindness, my baby is here, safe and healthy. I will always be grateful for what you’ve done for my family.”

To our generous donors, thank you for making Gulnaz’s safe delivery possible. Your support has provided a safe start for a new life. They are truly thankful for your kindness.
