Sobia Parveen's Story

Sobia Parveen is a 31-year-old woman from Lahore who has been facing tremendous challenges in her health journey. Sobia has been experiencing excruciating abdominal pain and has discovered a distressing lump in her abdominal region. To add to her troubles, she was also diagnosed with an ovarian cyst.

After consulting with a specialist, Sobia was advised to undergo gynecological surgery, which ultimately led to an unexpected twist after the procedure. After her surgery, she developed acute abdomen and was explored by laparotomy. The doctors discovered a twisted gangrenous segment of the small intestine which was resected,  leading to a double barrel ileostomy. Now she needs a reversal of this ileostomy but, before this, a loopogram was required to plan for the surgery. After having a loopogram, the doctor deemed her ready for the crucial surgery of Ileostomy reversal.

Sobia, a determined woman living in a small house in Lahore with her husband and four children, faces immense physical and emotional challenges as she strives to regain her health. However, the financial strain from her previous medical procedures has left her husband, who earns just 15,000 rupees per month; feeling exhausted. Now, the cost of reversing her ileostomy poses an additional burden, casting a shadow of hopelessness over their lives.
