Rab Nawaz Khan's Story

Rab Nawaz Khan, a 58-year-old resident of Mardan, has been struggling with recurring episodes of chest pain. Fearing the worst, he sought medical attention and was diagnosed with an acute myocardial ischemia. Recognizing the gravity of his condition, he consulted a doctor, who diagnosed him with TVCAD-IHD (triple-vessel coronary artery disease, the worst form of ischemic heart disease). The doctor recommended a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) procedure as the necessary course of action.

Rab Nawaz resides in his own five-marla house in a village in Mardan, alongside his wife and seven children. Theirs is a joint family, and Rab Nawaz earns a modest income as a laborer, amounting to 30,000 Pakistani Rupees per month. Additionally, his son works as a daily wager, contributing an equal amount to the family’s finances. Despite their combined efforts, their income remains their only source of support. Under these challenging circumstances, they find themselves unable to afford the surgical expenses required for Rab Nawaz’s CABG procedure.

The financial crisis weighs heavily on Rab Nawaz’s shoulders as he navigates his health challenges. With utility bills amounting to PKR 1,500 and school fees totaling PKR 700, the family’s resources are stretched thin. Rab Nawaz’s health condition renders him unable to work, exacerbating their financial struggles.

Rab Nawaz said in despair:

“The burden of my heart condition and the recurring chest pain have left me helpless. I humbly request your generous support in donating towards my CABG procedure. Any contribution you can make would bring immense relief to me and my family.”

In this time of desperate need, Transparent Hands has stepped forward, offering a glimmer of hope to Rab Nawaz and his family. By contributing to this campaign, you can play an instrumental role in restoring Rab Nawaz’s health and relieving the financial burdens that weigh them down. Together, we can restore hope, heal hearts, and uplift Rab Nawaz and his loved ones from the depths of their struggles.

Rab Nawaz Khan's Story

Rab Nawaz Khan, a 58-year-old brave man from Mardan, was struggling every day with shortness of breath and chest pain. He consulted a doctor, who after a thorough examination, diagnosed him with TVCAD–IHD, a condition characterized by abnormal narrowing of the three major coronary arteries. The doctor advised Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), a surgery to treat blockages in coronary arteries. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond his family’s financial reach.

Despite his brave efforts to lead a normal life, Rab Nawaz’s condition was taking a severe toll on his health. His energy was fading, and the risk of complications was growing with each passing day. Without open-heart surgery, Rab Nawaz’s life was at serious risk, and his dreams of living a healthy life were slipping away.

He lives in a modest brick house with his seven kids. Rab Nawaz and his son are daily wage laborers. Their household income is insufficient to meet the surgery’s cost. To save Rab Nawaz’s life, his family reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us to register his case.

The life-changing day arrived and Rab Nawaz was admitted to NORTHWEST General Hospital & Research Centre Peshawar. On 30th May 2024, his CABG surgery was skillfully performed by Dr. Niaz Ali. Rab Nawaz received necessary medical care and monitoring during his stay at the hospital.

On 5th June 2024, Rab Nawaz was discharged from the hospital with his heart filled with optimism and new hope.

Rab Nawaz said with tears of gratitude in his eyes:

“I am overjoyed to get a second chance at life. I never imagined that I would ever be able to live a healthy life again. You saved my life. I will never forget your generosity.”

Rab Nawaz’s heart was saved just because of you. The successful CABG surgery made substantial improvements in his physical and mental health. Rab Nawaz can now spend the remaining years of his life with peace. We express our gratitude to all compassionate donors. Your donations made a valuable impact on his life.
