Muhammad Sufiyan's Story

Muhammad Sufiyan, a brave nine-year-old boy hailing from Karachi, has been grappling with the burden of sore throat and fever for the past four years. These recurring ailments have turned his daily life into a constant struggle, hindering his ability to fully engage in everyday activities.

Muhammad Sufiyan sought medical assistance at the local hospital, where a doctor diagnosed him with chronic tonsillitis and recommended a tonsillectomy. This surgical procedure involves the removal of the tonsils, the two oval-shaped tissue pads located at the back of the throat. By undergoing this surgery, he can find relief from the recurring infections and regain his quality of life.

He lives in a small house of two marlas in Karachi and struggles financially on a monthly income of just 26,000 rupees. The family, including his parents and four siblings, finds it difficult to cover all their expenses. They face substantial financial pressures, including 4,000 rupees in monthly utility bills, school fees of 1,500 rupees, and a significant loan of 200,000 rupees that they are repaying. These challenges make it nearly impossible for them to afford the crucial surgery that Muhammad Sufiyan needs

With a heavy heart, Muhammad Sufiyan’s father expressed:

“As the sole earner in my family, earning a modest income, I am unable to afford the cost of my son’s surgery. Your support and donations can bring my son the relief he desperately needs, and we will be forever grateful.”

Recognizing the urgency and gravity of Muhammad Sufiyan’s condition, his family reached out to Transparent Hands. We understand the depth of their struggle and are dedicated to raising the necessary funds through the collective generosity of kind-hearted individuals like yourself.

Every donation, regardless of its size, will have a significant impact on Muhammad Sufiyan’s life. By supporting his cause, you become an agent of transformation, helping him break free from the constant discomfort.

Muhammad Sufiyan's Story

Muhammad Sufiyan, a 9-year-old boy from Karachi, had been experiencing repeated bouts of fever and sore throat for 4 years. Concerned about his condition, his parents took him to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor, who conducted some medical tests and diagnosed Sufiyan with chronic tonsillitis. It is an infection of the tonsils in the upper part of the throat. To prevent repeated infections and improve his quality of life, the doctor recommended tonsillectomy but the cost was simply too high for the family to bear.

Frequent infections, severe throat pain, and difficulty swallowing made attending school difficult for him. He lives in a two-room brick house with his six family members. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 26000 per month. With this meager monthly income, Sufiyan’s family was already struggling to make ends meet. Affording the surgery was significantly challenging for them. During this difficult time, Sufiyan’s family turned to Transparent Hands and asked us for help. We listened to their concerns and registered his case.

On 29th June 2024, Sufiyan was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery was scheduled for the same day. Dr. Paras Naeem skillfully performed his tonsillectomy and relieved his pain and discomfort. Sufiyan was hospitalized for three days and received essential care and monitoring. On 1st July 2024, he was discharged in a stable condition.

Sufiyan shared his happiness as follows:

“I feel much better. Now, I can go to school without fear. The pain and discomfort which affected my health for a long time have gone now. I am extremely grateful to you for helping me.”

Now, Sufiyan can attend school regularly, eat comfortably, and enjoy his childhood without the constant fear of infections. Sufiyan and his family are deeply grateful to you for helping him regain his health and happiness.

Your generosity not only eased his pain but also gave him new hope and a future filled with endless possibilities.
