Muhamad Saleem's Story

Muhammad Saleem, a 37-year-old resident of Karachi, has been suffering from right below ear swelling for four years. He received symptomatic treatment but his lump kept growing. He went to an ENT Specialist, where he was diagnosed with Pleomorphic Adenoma of the right Parotid gland. The doctor recommended a right Superficial Parotidectomy as the solution.

His condition is accompanied by symptoms like tiredness and fever. Additionally, he has been suffering from Polio since birth. Saleem wants to get rid of this bothersome lump and live a healthy life. However, the financial burden of his surgery looms heavily over his shoulders.

Saleem lives in a small 2-marla house with his wife and father and is the only breadwinner in the family. He works as a shopkeeper and earns a meager monthly income of PKR 15000 per month. His utility bills amount to PKR 5000 per month. Despite his dedication and hard work, Saleem’s financial resources are severely strained.

In his despair, Saleem said:

“This continuous pain is devastating. I am waiting for the day I get rid of this pain. It’s my humble request for all donors to support me in my life-changing surgery.”

Muhammad Saleem, a 37-year-old resident of Karachi, faced a challenging battle with a painful lump beneath his right ear for four years. Despite seeking medical advice and undergoing symptomatic treatment, the swelling only grew and caused him increasing discomfort. Saleem’s condition began to affect his daily life and work, leaving him physically drained and emotionally distressed. Eventually, he consulted an ENT specialist who conducted a thorough evaluation and diagnosed him with Pleomorphic Adenoma of the right parotid gland. The specialist advised a right Superficial Parotidectomy as the only effective solution. However, the high cost of this surgical procedure placed it far beyond Saleem's financial reach.

Saleem lived in a modest house with his wife and father. He worked as a shopkeeper and earned just PKR 15000 per month. They were surviving in extreme poverty and hardly managed to pay utility bills and food expenses. His growing health concerns and financial limitations left him feeling hopeless. During this desperate time, Saleem learned about Transparent Hands and reached out for assistance. After listening to his concerns, we promptly registered his case.

On 23rd November 2024, Saleem was admitted to the Murshid Hospital in Karachi. His surgery was successfully performed by a skilled ENT surgeon, Dr. Paras Naeem. Saleem received post-operative care and essential medicines. He was discharged in stable condition on 25th November 2024.
