Give for Muhammad Raza’s Artificial Leg
Muhammad Raza's Story
Muhammad Raza, a brave 16-year-old boy from Lahore, is facing significant challenges in his life. Born without a left leg and foot, Raza has never known what it feels like to walk without crutches. Simple activities like getting in or out of bed, walking around the home, and crossing the streets are challenging for him. His family took him to a nearby hospital and he received a medical consultation. The doctor advised a below-knee prosthesis—an artificial leg that will give him the freedom to walk and live without support. However, the cost of the prosthesis is out of the financial reach of Raza’s family.
Raza dreams of living independently, pursuing higher education, and contributing to society. But to achieve these dreams, Raza needs an artificial limb. It will transform Raza’s life, giving him the ability to walk confidently and perform everyday tasks. With this prosthesis, Raza would no longer have to rely on others for help.
Raza lives in a two-room rented house with his six family members. His father works in a factory and makes PKR 42,500 monthly. With this meager monthly income, he hardly manages to pay the monthly house rent of PKR 10,000, in addition to the utility bills and other living expenses. With hopes in their hearts, Raza’s family reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us for help.
Raza said in despair:
“I have always wanted to run, walk on my own, and experience the world like everyone else but always failed to do so. My father works to the point of exhaustion but his income covers our basic needs only. I want to live my life to the fullest. Kindly help me walk independently.”
He wants to pursue higher studies, make new friends, and eventually start a career. But without a prosthetic leg, these goals seem out of reach. We are requesting your support in giving Raza the chance to walk on his own. Your donation can help cover the cost of the prosthetic leg and give Raza the independence he longed for all his life.
Please donate today and help Raza take his first steps towards a bright and independent future.

Muhammad Raza's Story
Muhammad Raza, a 16-year-old boy from Lahore, was born without a left leg, making his life a continuous struggle. He couldn’t perform various activities on his own and felt like a burden on others. He had high dreams but pursuing them seemed challenging. When Raza went to a doctor to find a solution to overcome his disability, the doctor advised a left below-knee prosthesis. To acquire independence in life, this prosthesis was necessary but his family was unable to pay for it.
Raza lived in a two-room rented house with his six family members. His father, the sole provider for the family, worked at a factory and earned just PKR 42,500 per month. This income was not sufficient to cover their utility bills, house rent as well as educational expenses. Raza wanted to walk on his own and yearned for the day when he could play with his friends, walk without crutches, and have a life full of opportunities. However, the cost of a below-knee prosthesis was far beyond their means. During this time of need, Raza’s family turned to Transparent Hands. We carefully listened to their concerns and promptly registered Raza’s case.
On 15th November 2024, Raza’s below-knee prosthesis was fitted at the Hope Rehabilitation Centre in Lahore. The procedure was performed under the supervision of Dr. Khalid Niaz. Raza’s level of happiness was inexpressible when he took his first step with an artificial leg.
Muhammad Raza was overjoyed and said: “I can finally stand on my feet. This is more than just a prosthesis; it’s a new life. For years, I had been hoping for the day when I would be able to walk like a normal person. Today, it happened. Thank you for making this possible.”
Today, Raza is filled with renewed hope. He is learning to perform activities with his artificial leg. His parents are immensely grateful to you for helping them and giving their son the ability to walk without support. Your generosity can never be forgotten.
