Muhammad Subhan's Story

Five-year-old Muhammad Subhan, a resident of Sargodha, has been struggling with severe health issues since birth. Born with a congenital heart defect, Subhan has faced a constant battle for survival, enduring multiple surgeries and ongoing medical challenges.

At the tender age of two, Subhan was first diagnosed with a complex heart condition Severe Sub Valvar PS, and Mild PR. His first surgery, a DCSA VSD and PS Repair was performed in February 2020 in the hopes of addressing his issues. However, despite this initial intervention, Subhan’s health has continued to deteriorate, leaving him in dire need of further surgical attention.

Subhan’s daily life is a constant struggle, as he grapples with debilitating symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain, and overwhelming fatigue. These debilitating conditions have taken a toll on his young, fragile body, leaving his family deeply concerned about his long-term prognosis.

Subhan’s father, who teaches children in a seminary, earns a meager income of approximately PKR 15,000 per month. With a family of four, including two younger brothers studying in the same madrasa, the financial burden of Subhan’s ongoing medical care has become challenging. The family does not even have a permanent residence, as they live in the seminary where Subhan’s father works.

Subhan’s father said in despair:

“Watching my son suffer is a constant agony that weighs heavily on my heart. I am devastated that I cannot afford the critical surgery he needs to ease his pain and improve his health. Your donation could make all the difference, giving my son a chance at a better, healthier life.”

Subhan’s case is now registered with Transparent Hands. His family has placed their hopes in the generosity of the public, praying that your contribution can make a profound difference in Subhan’s life.

The doctors have recommended that Subhan undergo RVOTO Resection surgery, a critical procedure that could significantly improve his quality of life and potentially save his young life. We urge you to open your hearts and lend a helping hand to this brave, resilient child. Please donate to Muhammad Subhan’s Open-Heart Surgery today, and help us write a new chapter of hope in his life.

Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Muhammad Subhan's Story

Muhammad Subhan, a five-year-old boy from Sargodha, was suffering from severe cardiac issues. He was suffering with symptoms like shortness of breath, chest pain, and fatigue since birth. As he grew older his condition worsened. Subhan had his first surgery for DCSA VSD and PS repair in February 2020. His health improved slightly after the surgery, but he still felt lethargic. In a follow-up consultation, his doctor recommended RVOTO Resection.

The thought of another surgery made him and his family anxious. They wanted him to undergo this life-saving surgery, but they feared that the cost of the surgery was beyond their financial capacity.

Muhammad Subhan’s father, Muhammad Usman, teaches at a local seminary and finds it difficult to make ends meet. He only earns PKR 15,000 per month. The family doesn’t own a house. They don’t have any other source of income. Subhan has two siblings, who study at a local madrassa. Their inability to pay for Subhan’s surgery worried everyone in his family. With time running out, something had to be done.

Luckily, Subhan’s neighbors told the family about Transparent Hands, and we registered his case. Subhan was admitted to the Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, on 19-08-2024 for the advised surgery. The next day, Dr. Syed Salman Ahmad Shah conducted the Re-do open heart surgery successfully, and Subhan was discharged on 23-08-2024.

Subhan now feels more active than he ever did. His family loves the fact that he is full of life and energy. Muhammad Usman, his father, is very thankful to everyone who helped and said: “I can’t express my feelings in words. Transparent Hands has changed our lives. I would also like to thank the doctors, hospital management, and everyone who contributed to Subhan’s successful surgery.”

Subhan is very happy with his newly found energy and has been given the opportunity to grow like other children.
