Fund Naseema’s Cervical Polypectomy
Naseema Bibi's Story
Naseema, a 44-year-old resident of Karachi, has been facing a distressing health issue for the past 3 months. She has been experiencing vaginal discharge accompanied by mucus and blood, a concerning symptom that prompted her to seek medical attention.
Upon examination, Naseema was diagnosed with a cervical polyp, a non-cancerous growth that can cause various gynecological complications if left untreated. Her doctor has advised her to undergo a Cervical Polypectomy, a surgical procedure to remove the polyp and alleviate her symptoms.
Naseema’s family circumstances, however, have made it incredibly challenging for her to access the necessary medical care. Her husband, a laborer, earns a monthly income of 25,000/- rupees, which is the sole source of income for the household. With a monthly rent of 8,000/- for their rented home and the responsibility of caring for their three children, the family’s financial resources are severely strained.
In Naseema’s own words, “I am deeply concerned about my health condition and the recommended surgery. However, the financial constraints we face as a family make it extremely challenging to afford the necessary medical expenses. I humbly request your kind consideration and support to help me undergo this important procedure, which is crucial for my well-being and recovery.”
Naseema’s family reached out to Transparent Hands, to register her case. Her plea for assistance highlights the need for a more comprehensive and accessible healthcare system that can support those in genuine need, ensuring that no one is left behind in their pursuit of good health and a better quality of life.

Naseema Bibi's Story
Naseema, a 44-year-old woman from Karachi, had been experiencing vaginal discharge for three months. Her condition was accompanied by mucus and blood. Concerned about her condition, she consulted a doctor. After a thorough examination and evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with a cervical polyp, a benign growth on the cervix that can cause various gynecological complications if left untreated. To alleviate her discomfort, the doctor advised cervical polypectomy. However, the surgical cost was overwhelming for Naseema’s family. The cervical polyps were causing her discomfort and impacting her daily life, making it difficult for her to manage household responsibilities and care for her children. Naseema lives in a modest rented house with her husband and three children. Her husband, the sole provider for the family, works as a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 25000 per month. With this insufficient monthly income, they hardly covered their necessities, leaving no room to pay for the surgery. That’s when Transparent Hands stepped in to help Naseema. Recognizing the critical nature of her situation, we swiftly registered her case. On 11th July 2024, Naseema was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery was scheduled for the same day. Dr. Farkhanda Saeed skillfully performed her surgery and removed her non-cancerous polyp. Naseema was hospitalized for two days and received post-operative care. On 12th July 2024, she recovered and was discharged in a stable condition from the hospital. Naseema was overwhelmed with happiness and she shared her emotions as follows: “When I was told I needed surgery, I felt hopeless. But your support gave me hope. I don’t have words to describe how happy I am. You changed my life. I am thankful to you!” After the successful surgery, Naseema experienced relief from her symptoms. The procedure removed the cervical polyps, allowing her to regain her health and spirit. She is feeling grateful for the renewed energy and ability to resume her daily activities without pain or discomfort. Naseema and her family extend their heartfelt thanks to you for making a significant difference in her life.
