Rahmeen Azam's Story

Rahmeen, an innocent 3-year-old girl from Jhang, has never experienced the joy of sounds. She has never heard her parents’ voices and the laughter of her siblings. Since birth, Rahmeen has been unable to hear, which has prevented her from developing speech or interacting fully with her family. Her parents recently took her to a specialist, who performed a comprehensive examination and diagnosed Rahmeen with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL). The doctor recommended cochlear implant surgery as the only solution to help her hear and live a normal life. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s financial capacity.

If Rahmeen doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, she might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak. The sooner she receives the cochlear implant, the better her chances of speech and language development which are necessary at her age.

Rahmeen lives in a modest house with her parents and three siblings. Her father, a police employee, works hard to provide for his family. He is the sole breadwinner in the family and his modest monthly income just covers their basic needs. Between rent, utility bills, and daily necessities, there is little left for medical expenses. Due to their financial hardships, they can’t afford the costly surgery. During this challenging time, Rahmeen’s parents reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.

Rahmeen’s family said in despair:
“It breaks our hearts to see Rahmeen living in silence. We dream of the day when she can communicate with us and laugh with her siblings. But this dream feels impossible without your help. Please, give our little girl the chance to hear the world around her.”

Your support can make a life-changing difference for Rahmeen. By supporting her cochlear implant surgery, you can open the door to a future where she can hear, learn, and thrive. This isn’t just about restoring her hearing—it’s about giving her the chance to connect with her family, express herself, and have a fulfilling life.

Together, we can give Rahmeen the gift of hearing and change her life forever.

Rahmeen Azam's Story

Rahmeen Azam, a 3-year-old girl from Jhang, had never experienced the joy of sounds. Since birth, she had been unable to hear her parents' voices or the laughter of her siblings. Concerned about her condition, her parents took her to a specialist, who conducted a comprehensive examination. After multiple tests, the doctor diagnosed Rahmeen with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL). The doctor strongly recommended cochlear implant surgery as the only solution to help her hear and live a normal life. However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond her family’s financial capacity.

Rahmeen lived in a modest house with her parents and three siblings. Her father, a police employee, worked hard to provide for his family. Despite his efforts, his modest monthly income just covered their basic needs, including utility bills, and daily necessities. With so many responsibilities on his shoulders, saving for Rahmeen’s expensive surgery was impossible. Watching their little daughter struggle in silence, her parents felt helpless. In their search for help, they found Transparent Hands and reached out with hope. Understanding the nature of Rahmeen’s situation, we registered her case.

On January 23, 2025, Rahmeen was admitted to Evercare Hospital Lahore. The internal component of the cochlear implant was successfully inserted by Dr. Imran Saeed. After receiving post-operative care, she was discharged in a stable condition on January 24, 2025.

The external component of the cochlear implant will be installed six weeks after the surgery. Moreover, she will receive speech therapy sessions to communicate properly. Rahmeen’s family expressed their overwhelming joy and gratitude as follows:

“Your support has changed her life. She will now be able to respond to our voices, call out to her siblings, and live a life filled with sounds. This is a miracle for us, and we cannot thank you enough for making it happen.”

Rahmeen is now recovering, and her world is opening up in new and exciting ways. Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to you for supporting her generously.
