Faiza Awaits Hysterectomy
Faiza Behram's Story
Faiza Behram, a 43-year-old woman from Karachi, has been experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding, lower abdominal pain, weakness, and fatigue for the past five years. These symptoms disrupt her daily life and make it difficult for her to manage household chores and care for her family. A recent visit to the hospital revealed the seriousness of her condition, and the doctor diagnosed her with uterine fibroids – abnormal growths that develop in or on the uterus. The doctor recommended a hysterectomy as the only solution to alleviate her pain and improve her quality of life. However, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming for her family.
If her condition is left untreated, she may experience anemia, leaving her even weaker and more vulnerable to infections. Moreover, fibroids can grow and may develop into cancer.
Faiza’s husband is a rickshaw driver who earns a modest income of PKR 30,000 per month. They live in a rented house along with their four children who are studying. With an insufficient monthly income, they hardly manage to cover house rent of PKR 5000, mounting utility bills as well as school fees. After covering the basic needs of their household, Faiza’s family has nothing left to save for medical expenses. Due to their financial constraints, the cost of the surgery is far beyond their reach. During this time of need, Faiza contacted Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case.
With a heavy heart, Faiza shared her emotions as follows:
“I am constantly in pain, and it feels like I’m losing my strength day by day. My husband works so hard, but we can’t afford this surgery. I want to live a healthy life again and take care of my children. I humbly ask for your support to help me get better.”
Faiza has been bearing this pain for a long time and she wants relief now. Only you can bring relief to Faiza and her family, allowing her to lead a healthier and happier life. Together, we can restore Faiza’s health and help her reclaim her life with new hope.
Let’s unite to make a difference in Faiza’s life.
