Fahmeeda Awaits Breast Cancer Surgery
Fahmeeda Bano's Story
Fahmeeda Bano, a 61-year-old woman from Karachi, has been suffering from pain due to a lump in her left breast for the past two years. She can’t perform her daily tasks and her condition is draining her physically and emotionally. What started as a small lump in her left breast has now become a serious threat to her life. She recently underwent medical tests and was diagnosed with left-sided breast cancer. Her doctors have strongly recommended a Modified Radical Mastectomy (Left) to remove the cancer affected breast and prevent it from spreading. However, the cost of the surgery is out of her financial reach.
Without this surgery, her condition will continue to deteriorate, making recovery even more difficult. Her cancer may continue to spread, weakening her body and limiting her chances of survival.
Fahmeeda’s life took a tragic turn when she lost her husband. Since then, her two sons have been her only source of support. They earn a combined monthly income of PKR 60,000. Despite their hard work, they struggle to meet daily expenses. The family lives in a modest home and their financial burdens are overwhelming. They spend PKR 5000 on utility bills and PKR 3000 on educational expenses while also carrying the heavy burden of a PKR 150,000 loan. With these financial constraints, they cannot afford the high cost of their mother’s surgery. During this time of need, Fahmeeda contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
With tears in her eyes, Fahmeeda said:
“I have been fighting this disease for two years, but I can feel my body getting weaker. My sons are doing everything they can, but the cost of my treatment is beyond our financial reach. I want to live for my children. Please help me undergo the surgery I need to survive.”
This brave mother needs your support in her fight against cancer. Your generosity can give her the chance to heal and reclaim her life.
