Enable Shazia to Embrace Motherhood Safely

Shazia Ahmed 's Story
Shazia Ahmed, a 25-year-old woman from Karachi, is currently pregnant with her third child. The news of her pregnancy gave her happiness but also filled her heart with worries about the delivery of her baby. Given her history of two C-sections, her gynecologist strongly recommended another C-section. This decision has been made to ensure the safe arrival of her unborn child as natural delivery can cause various complications. Unfortunately, the cost of the C-section is out of her financial capacity.
If Shazia does not undergo the required C-section, she and her baby may face serious complications. A normal delivery may cause significant risks including uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and fetal distress. These complications can put both her life and her baby’s life in danger.
Shazia lives in a modest home with her husband and two children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and makes just PKR 27,000 per month. This income is insufficient to cover their utility bills and grocery expenses. Shazia and her husband are afraid of the complications that can arise if she does not undergo a C-section. They long to safely hold their baby in their arms, but financial constraints stand in their way. With no other option, they turned to Transparent Hands for help. Shazia’s husband expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:
“I work day and night as a laborer but the cost of this C-section is something I can’t afford. My wife’s health and my baby’s safety are my biggest concerns, yet I feel helpless. No father or husband wants to see his family in danger, but I have no means to arrange for this surgery. Please help us during this difficult time.”
Shazia’s pregnancy, which should be a time of joy and anticipation, is instead overshadowed by fear and uncertainty. Shazia and her husband have placed their hopes in your hands.
Your donations, no matter how small or big, can make all the difference. Let’s join hands and give Shazia and her baby the gift of life and hope.
