Muhammad Rizwan, a 3-year-old boy from Lahore, has been living in a silent world since birth. His condition has limited his ability to interact with his family and participate in activities that most children enjoy. Rizwan has never heard the sounds of toys or even her mother’s soothing voice. When his parents noticed his unresponsiveness to sounds, they took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor.  After running some medical tests, the doctor diagnosed him with congenital sensorineural hearing loss and recommended cochlear implant surgery. However, the surgical cost is out of her family’s financial capacity.

The sooner Rizwan receives the cochlear implant, the better his chances of speech and language development, which are essential at his age. If he doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak.

Rizwan’s parents are determined to provide him with the opportunities he deserves, but financial barriers come in the way. Rizwan lives in a small house with his parents and four siblings, who are young and studying. His father is a police officer and his monthly income is just enough to cover their utility bills, educational fees, and other household expenses. They wish to see Rizwan communicating with his friends and family members but are unable to afford the cost associated with the cochlear implant surgery.

Rizwan’s parents said in despair:

“As parents, we want nothing more than to help our child succeed. The cochlear implant surgery can provide him with the ability to hear, but our family’s financial struggles are holding us back. We are desperate for assistance so our child can experience the joy of sounds. We request you to please help us.”
