Imdad Ali's Story

Imdad Ali, a 50-year-old man from Hyderabad, has been suffering from blurry and dim vision for the past six years. His visual impairment has made it difficult for him to recognize faces, walk safely, and even perform his daily tasks. He has to rely on others for simple tasks. Imdad consulted a doctor, who performed some medical tests and diagnosed him with a cataract in his right eye. The only way to restore his sight is through right Phaco + PCIOL (Alcon IQ) surgery. However, the cost of the surgery is out of his financial capacity.

If Imdad’s condition is left untreated, the cataract may slowly get worse. It will ultimately increase the risk of blindness.

Imdad and his wife live in a small house, surviving on his meager income of PKR 15,000 per month. His work as a laborer is physically demanding. However, with his failing vision, even that has become uncertain. Some days, he struggles to find work. With no savings and barely enough money to meet their daily expenses, affording the cost of his surgery is impossible. During this challenging time, Imdad contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.

Imdad Ali said in despair:

“I feel helpless due to my illness. I have worked hard my entire life, but now I struggle even to see people’s faces clearly. I fear that if I lose my sight completely, I will become a burden on my family. I just want to regain my vision and I need your help during this time of need.”

Imdad’s future depends on this surgery. Without the surgery, it will be impossible for him to work or live independently. By donating, you can help restore his sight, his independence, and his hope.

Even the smallest contribution can bring light back into Imdad’s life. Come forward and help Imdad Ali see the world clearly again.
