Empower Summaya to Fight Breast Cancer
Summaya Shamim's Story
Summaya Shamim, a 59-year-old woman from Karachi, is suffering from pain due to a lump in her left breast. What began as a small, concerning mass has now become a life-threatening disease. Recently, Summaya went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor, who diagnosed her with left-sided breast cancer. Her doctor has strongly recommended a Modified Radical Mastectomy (Left) to remove the cancer and prevent its spread. This surgery is essential to save her life, but Summaya and her son cannot afford the high medical costs.
With each passing day, Summaya’s condition worsens. If left untreated, the cancer may continue to spread, weakening her body and limiting her chances of survival. She longs for a second chance—to live without pain, to be there for her son, and to reclaim her health.
Summaya’s life took a tragic turn when she lost her husband. Since then, her only source of support has been her son, who works at a private firm and earns PKR 60,000 per month. Despite his best efforts, their rented home and daily expenses consume most of his income, leaving no savings for Summaya’s much-needed surgery. As a devoted son, he desperately wants to save his mother, but the burden of financial constraints is pushing them into hopelessness.
Summaya said in despair:
“I never imagined I would be facing something as terrifying as cancer. Every day, I feel my strength fading, but my son’s love keeps me going. I need this surgery to fight for my life, but we cannot do it without your help. Please, help me get the much-needed treatment.”
This courageous mother needs your support to overcome this life-threatening disease. Your generosity can give her the chance to fight and heal from cancer.
