Ejat Musa Awaits Surgery for Her Eye Condition

Ejat Musa's Story
Ejat Musa, a 67-year-old widow from Hyderabad, has been suffering from pain and discomfort in her right eye for the past three months. What began as a minor irritation gradually worsened into constant itching, excessive watering, and a troubling pus-like discharge. The condition has now reached a point where it affects her sleep, her ability to perform daily tasks, and her overall peace of mind. After visiting a local hospital and undergoing a thorough medical check-up, Ejat was diagnosed with Right Chronic Dacryocystitis—a painful infection of the tear duct. To relieve her symptoms, the doctor has advised her to undergo Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) under general anesthesia. However, the cost of the surgery is far beyond what she and her family can afford.
Without the surgery, her condition may deteriorate further. It may lead to more serious infections, persistent pain, and vision loss.
Ejat lives in a small house with her only son, who works as a gardener at a private organization. He earns a modest monthly income of PKR 25,000. From this, PKR 2500 goes towards utility bills, and the rest is used to cover their food and basic living expenses. Despite his hard work, he struggles to meet their day-to-day needs. Affording Ejat’s surgery is out of their financial capacity.
As a widow, Ejat has already experienced many challenges in life. Now, in her later years, she longs for peace and comfort, but this constant eye is making her life increasingly difficult. Ejat said in despair:
“I’ve spent my life caring for my family. Now, in my old age, even simple tasks like opening my eyes in the morning feel like a burden. All I want is to find relief and live without this constant discomfort. I desperately need your help in undergoing the surgery.”
You can be the reason Ejat finds that much-needed relief. Your kind support can help her undergo the surgery and regain her comfort and dignity. Let’s stand together to ease her suffering and fill her world with colors.
