Ease Musarat’s Gallbladder Pain
Musarat Khatoon's Story
Musarat Khatoon, a 54-year-old woman from Rawalpindi, has been experiencing pain in her right upper abdomen for the past two months. Alongside pain, she also faces indigestion and frequent vomiting. Despite taking symptomatic treatment, her condition worsened over time. Hoping to find relief, she decided to consult a specialist. After running some lab tests and an ultrasound scan, the doctor diagnosed her with Cholelithiasis – it is the medical term for gallstone disease, where stones form in the gallbladder. To relieve her pain and discomfort, the doctor recommended laparoscopic cholecystectomy. However, the surgical cost is out of her family’s financial capacity.
If Musarat doesn’t get the surgery soon, her health may continue to deteriorate due to poor dietary intake. Moreover, continued intake of medicines will disturb her stomach and she won’t be able to maintain a healthy diet.
Musarat lives in a modest rented house with her husband and two children. Her husband and one son are daily wage laborers and earn just PKR 38000 per month. With this insufficient monthly income, they hardly manage house rent of PKR 11,000 and utility bills amounting to PKR 3000 per month. Musarat’s family wants to provide her with care and relief but their financial limitations prevent them from doing so. During this time of need, Musarat contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Musarat expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:
“I am facing severe pain every day. I wish to live without it, to move freely and embrace life again. Your support can help me achieve a life without constant suffering. I request you to please help me during this time of need.”
Musarat’s life will get better with your help. Your contributions can provide relief to Musarat and her family, allowing her to lead healthier and happier lives. Together, we can restore her health and help her reclaim her life with new hope.
Come forward and make a difference in Musarat’s life.
