Donate to Zainab Bibi for Her Hysterectomy
Zainab Bibi's Story
Zainab Bibi, 54 years old, has been experiencing persistent cyclical bleeding and lower abdominal pain for many years. The doctors have advised a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO)- surgical removal of the uterus and both ovaries. This surgery would bring her relief from adverse symptoms.
“My backbone hurts and the constant bleeding has made me anemic and weak. I can barely get up from the bed. My husband had a paralysis attack a few years ago and is bedridden now. If I am unable to be active, my children wouldn’t have a parent to look after them. Two of them are still young and go to school. They need a caretaker.” – Zainab Bibi
Zainab Bibi and her husband have a large family of 6 children, 2 of whom are married. The rest are unmarried and live with their parents. Zainab Bibi’s husband, Muhammad Saddiq, suffered from a stroke resulting in paralysis of this right arm and leg, due to which he is unable to work. The breadwinner of the family is the eldest son, who earns 11,000 PKR a month working at a private factory. On this income, the family cannot even afford Zainab Bibi’s medicines, let alone expensive surgery.
Zainab Bibi has now requested Transparent Hands to assist her with her surgery, so she can find relief for good.
Please donate to her so she can be operated on at the earliest.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website.
