Donate to Yousaf for His Hernia Repair Surgery

Muhammad Yousaf's Story

Muhammad Yousaf, aged 15 months, had a lump in his right groin region since birth. Initially, Yousaf’s parents ignored it but later the swelling became very obvious. They could also observe that Yousuf avoided moving his right leg. Worried, they took him to a local doctor. On examination, Yousaf was diagnosed with inguinal hernia on the right side. The doctor advised herniotomy for him. In this procedure, Yousaf’s hernia would be fixed by a surgeon.

Even though his parents wanted Yousaf to go through with the surgery, their pockets were not deep enough to afford it. Yousaf’s father works as a labourer and earns only PKR 15,000 per month. He can hardly manage the monthly expenses of the seven members of his family. In these difficult circumstances, he expressed his grief in these words:

“My little bundle of joy needs a surgery that I cannot even think of affording. We constantly feel guilt for not being able to provide the best to our child.”

 Since the surgery was crucial for tiny Yousaf’s treatment, his father visited multiple local hospitals in hopes of getting surgical services free of cost for his child. In one of the hospitals, a staff member told him about our organization. He immediately visited our office and got his son registered.
