Sawal Faqeer's Story
Sawal Faqeer, 60-years-of-age, has been suffering from chest pain and shortness of breath for the past two months. The doctor at his local hospital prescribed him some medicines and referred him to a cardiologist, who has diagnosed Sawal with ACS. Acute coronary syndrome is a term used to describe a range of conditions associated with sudden, reduced blood flow to the heart.
He has been advised angiography for further investigation, followed by angioplasty to remove the obstruction in his vessels. The doctors want to conduct the procedure as soon as possible without wasting time because Sawal already had a surgery for his kidney problems. Doctors want to avoid any complications and proceed soon.
Sawal Faqeer has a wife and six children out of which five are still unmarried and his responsibility. He is the sole breadwinner in his family and works as a farmer and earns around 5000 PKR a month. This is not even enough to last the family for a week. Apart from his meagre income, Sawal has no other resources and does not own a house. He lives in a small rental house with his family.
“I have been feeling pain in my chest for quite some time now. I can’t walk for five minutes without feeling out of breath. It is almost impossible for me to work in the fields these days because I get tired two minutes into work. I don’t want my kids to sleep on an empty stomach. I want to keep fighting but I think I won’t survive if I keep on working any longer.” -Sawal Faqeer
In these dire financial circumstances, it is impossible for Sawal to pay for the expenses of two cardiac procedures that are costly.
With help from your donations, he can move forward with his treatment.

Sawal Faqeer's Story
Sawal Faqeer, 60 years old, suffered from chest pain. When he visited a local hospital, the doctors performed angiography to assess the condition of blood flow to his heart. The results revealed that he had severe Left Anterior Descending (LAD) artery blockage. The doctors further advised coronary angioplasty (PCI to LAD) for him. For this reason, Sawal was admitted in Patel Hospital and the procedure was performed by Dr. Rizwana Yasmeen on 13.01.2021. He stayed in the hospital for two days and was discharged in a stable condition. Sawal is recovering slowly and resuming his routine activities.
