Sajjida Parvin is 34 years old and is pregnant with her fifth child. She has three daughters and one son, all of them are school going. She is a housewife to a mason, who earns around 500 PKR per day. Her husband also works as a cloth tailor in their small colony. The family earns approximately 11,000 PKR per month. They live in a small house granted by parents in a village.

When Sajjida was expecting her first child, she had to undergo a caesarian section because of PROM (Pre-labor rupture of membranes) and fetal distress. Because of similar complications, her next three children were also born through C-section. This time again, she is facing some health issues and needs to undergo a C-section in order to deliver a healthy baby as normal delivery is not possible in her condition.

Sajjida and her husband cannot afford the cost of her surgery. They are afraid to lose the baby or Sajjida if they are unable to get the surgery. They visited and appealed to many hospitals for funding the cost of this surgery but they were turned down. After giving up on everything, they found out about Transparent Hands and contacted us for free surgery.
