29-year-old Nazia Bibi got married 5 years ago and has a 3-year-old and a 2-year-old daughter. She is now pregnant for the third time. Both her daughters were delivered by LS C-sections due to complications in pregnancies and this time again, her child has to be delivered with a C-section.

Nazia Bibi’s husband works as a laborer with a mason and gets 500 PKR/day, with an average of 12,000 PKR/month. During both her previous LS C-sections, financial help was given to Nazia Bibi by relatives. This time she does not have enough resources for her surgery as her relatives have their own financial struggles because of the coronavirus outbreak. She visited her local hospitals for a free surgical procedure but didn’t find help at any of them. Then, she contacted Transparent Hands.

Nazia Bibi, 29 years old, was about to have her 3rd childbirth. She had surgeries done for previous childbirths. This time she has advised elective surgery again. Her C-section was done on 07-07-20, in Abid Hospital, by Dr. Saddaf Aqeel. She was happy to give birth to a baby boy. She stayed for 2 days in the hospital and was discharged along with her healthy baby.
