Donate to Maryam Bibi for Her Cardiac Procedure
Maryam Bibi's Story
Maryam Bibi, age 65 years, has been suffering from chest pain, chest infection, and shortness of breath for the past seven months. The doctor at her local hospital prescribed her some medicines and referred her to a cardiologist in Lahore, who has conducted her ECG and ECHO tests. She has been diagnosed with ischemic heart disease and advised percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) along with stenting to remove the blockage in her heart vessels.
The hospital that conducted her tests gave her an appointment for PCI but when she visited the hospital for the procedure, they did not carry out. She has since been trying at several local hospitals to get the procedure conducted but to no avail.
Privately, the procedure will prove much too costly for Maryam Bibi and her family. She is dependent on her elder son’s income. Her son works as a food vendor and manages to earn 25,000 PKR a month. With a family of his own to support as well, he cannot arrange for the money required for his mother’s treatment. Maryam’s family has hence requested Transparent Hands to arrange for the procedure.
“Our mother means everything to us. She is fighting the battle of her life due to heart disease but here we are, helpless at the hands of poverty. Those of you who can, please help her.” Maryam’s youngest daughter
Maryam’s symptoms are getting worse day by day. Her cardiac procedure needs to be carried out as soon as possible and is only possible with the help of your donations.
Please contribute to her case.
