Hira Ahmad's Story

27-year-old Hira Ahmad is pregnant with her third child. Having already given birth to two daughters via C-section, the doctors have advised her to deliver her third child via a C-section as well to avoid complications. However, the operation comes with medical costs that Hira and her husband cannot afford.

Hira’s husband, Shakeel Ahmad, teaches at a private college. Before the coronavirus lockdown, his salary was 17,000 PKR per month which got him and his family by. But currently, due to the lockdown, he is out of work and is worried he won’t be able to cover even his family’s basic necessities. Bearing the cost of surgery is not at all possible for him in this situation. After a lot of stressful searching, Hira and her husband found out about Transparent Hands and contacted us for free surgery.

Hira Ahmad's Story

Hira, 28 years old, was about to have her 3rd child birth. She had her surgeries done for previous childbirths. This time, she was advised elective surgery again. Her C-section was successfully done on 08-06-20 in Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital, Multan, by Dr Humaira Imran. She stayed for 3 days in the hospital and was discharged along with her healthy baby.
