Gulabo Bibi's Story

Gulabo Bibi, 24 years old, got married about 7 years ago and has one elder son of 4 years and a younger 2-year-old daughter. Both of her babies were delivered via LS C-sections due to complications during pregnancies. These surgeries were conducted at local hospitals with financial help from her parents. This time again, her doctor has advised her delivery through C-section but she does not have enough resources for her surgery as her parents are no longer in a position to support her.

Gulabo Bibi’s husband runs a small tuck shop in his village and hardly earns 400 PKR a day with an average of 10000 PKR per month. This meager income meets the daily needs of the family with great difficulty. The family of 4 is living in a small house granted by Gulabo’s parents-in-law.

Gulabo Bibi's Story

Gulabo Bibi was about to have her 3rd child birth. She had her surgeries done for previous childbirths. This time she was advised elective surgery again. Her C-Section was done on 28-04-20 in Abid Hospital, Mian Channu, by Dr Sadaf Aqeel. She was happy to give birth to a baby girl. She stayed for two days in the hospital and was discharged well along with her healthy baby.
