Fayyaz Ahmad, a 47 years old father of 4, has been suffering from Triple Vessel Heart disease for 6 months. Around 2 months ago, he had a heart attack while working and doctors gave him emergency medication for the time being. After some time, he felt severe chest pain which landed him in the hospital again. After undergoing some initial tests and angiography from a local hospital, doctors recommended him surgery but he is unable to bear the cost.

Fayyaz used to work as a laborer earning only 25,000 PKR a month but now, he is bedridden. He feels difficulty in breathing even after taking a few steps. Doctors have advised him to get open heart surgery as soon as possible. Without timely treatment, he may get another cardiac arrest and this time, it can be fatal. Fayyaz has no one to earn for his family now. His wife and daughters, all are dependent on him for every little need. This family went from one hospital to another but didn’t receive a positive response. Fayyaz Ahmad, 47 years old, experienced severe chest pain 6 months ago, which was treated as a heart attack. His percutaneous angiography was done and he was diagnosed as a case of triple vessel ischemic heart disease. He was advised open heart surgery- a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG). His surgery was done at National Hospital on 10-10-19 by Dr Ahmed Shehzad. His operation was successful and he was discharged in good health.
