Fayyaz Ahmad, 21 years old, has been experiencing pain and discomfort in the groin region for the past three months. Upon consultation with a doctor, he was diagnosed with a right inguinal hernia. In order to be free from his pain, he requires hernia repair surgery- a right hernioplasty.

Fayyaz lives with his mother and four brothers in a small house in Lahore temporarily granted to them by their landlord. His father separated from them a decade ago. Fayyaz and one of his younger brothers worked together and were the main wage earners of the family. They made and sold bread and earned around 12,000 PKR a month. Due to his illness, however, Fayyaz has not been able to work in the past few months and has been let go from his job. Even with a regular income, this family of six hardly got by in the expensive city of Lahore. Now, ever since Fayyaz lost his job, they do not have any reliable source of income. Despite being in a lot of pain for several months, Fayyaz has been unable to seek treatment due to his financial circumstances. He has now contacted Transparent Hands for help.

Fayyaz Ahmad 's Story

Fayyaz Ahmad, 21 years old, was suffering from pain & swelling in the right Inguinal area. He was diagnosed with right indirect complete inguinal hernia and was advised a hernioplasty surgery. He was operated in Lahore Care Hospital, by Dr. Ahmad Fawad, on 04-06-20. He remained admitted for 1 day and was discharged in a satisfactory condition.
