Azan Nisar's Story

Azan Nisar, 8 years of age, is suffering from a condition known as undescended testis. In this condition, the testicle does not move into its proper position after birth. In order to correct this condition, his doctor recommended surgery known as orchidopexy when he was still an infant, because that is the ideal time for this surgery. His parents took him to local hospitals but no one cooperated with them. Despite their frequent attempts, they were not given a date for the surgery.

Azan’s father runs a small shop that makes about 15,000 PKR a month. He has a total of three children to support. Living in a city as expensive as Rawalpindi, the revenue he earns from the shop barely manages to cover the expenses of his family. Owing to this reason, he struggled for years to get Azan treated at a local hospital at a reduced cost. He had no luck and has now contacted Transparent Hands for assistance.

Azan Nisar's Story

Azan Nisar, 4 years old, was suffering from a right undescended testis and a right inguinal hernia. He was advised surgery to fix it. His herniotomy and right orchidopexy were done and the mispositioned testicle was fixed onto the scrotum. The surgeries were done in Medicare Hospital, on 02-05-20, by Dr. Naeem Liaqat. He stayed for one day and was discharged in a satisfactory condition.
