Aneela Naseem's Story
30-year-old Aneela Naseem is currently pregnant with her 4th child. She got married for the first time about eight years ago and has a 7-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son from that marriage. Unfortunately, her husband passed away four years after the marriage, in an accident. About three years ago, Aneela got married again and she has one daughter from this marriage. All of Aneela’s children were delivered through C-sections due to complications during pregnancies. This time again, the doctors have advised her surgery.
Her husband is unable to pay for the surgery due to a very limited income of 6000 PKR a month, earned by cultivating a small piece of rented land. Aneela and her husband do not own a house of their own either and live with her brother-in-law and his family in a small house in Mian Channu. Because she cannot afford the surgery, she visited many local and private hospitals for free surgery but didn’t get a positive response from anywhere. Finally, she approached Transparent Hands for help.
“I have a new life growing inside of me and I cannot wait to hold my baby in my arms. I want to see him in good health but I’m scared that if I cannot have the C-section surgery, I would lose him. Please help me save my baby.”- Aneela
