Donate Tayyab Asif for his Ileostomy Closure
Tayyab Asif's Story
This little boy has been suffering for years due to Abdominal Tuberculosis. He is desperately waiting for your help!
13 years old Tayyab has always enjoyed his life like other children of his age. He was a student of class 4 when he had to leave his studies due to a disease. He was diagnosed with Abdominal Tuberculosis (TB) – a type of TB that affects the intestine, the peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity), abdominal lymph nodes, and, more rarely, the solid organs in the abdomen (liver, pancreas, and spleen). He had to undergo urgent surgery (ileostomy) in a local hospital. Without surgery, he could even die due to his life-threatening widespread abdominal infection.
An ileostomy was made on his body and a stoma bag was placed for stool collection. Since then, he has been living with stoma bag attached to his body. He cannot even go to school due to bad odor coming out of his stoma bag. Additionally, he suffers from watery discharge, continuous nausea and vomiting and cramps that last for more than 2 or 3 hours. Changing of stoma bag also cost them a lot. Tayyab has been on antituberculotic medication (ATT) until he undergoes another surgery to remove the stoma from his abdomen. This poor family is struggling to collect funds for Tayyab’s treatment. His father is a daily wage labourer and he hardly earns around 15,000 rupees a month. In such meager income, it is impossible for him to take care of his 4 children, wife and other family members who are also living with them.
This family came to know about Transparent Hands and they came here with high hopes. Tayyab is now scheduled for his Ileostomy Closure in a few days at Akram Medical Complex. Only with your prayers and donations, this boy can get relieve from his ongoing pain.
