“Becoming a mother for the first time is a feeling so profound that it cannot be put into words. I am about to have my first baby and this makes me feel at the top of the world. But due to complications, I cannot have a normal delivery and need a C section to deliver the baby. Sadly, we do not have money for it. Please help me bring my child into this world safely.” – pleaded Shakila Faryad.

Shakila is a 22 year old newlywed. She is about to give birth to her first child. She is 29 weeks pregnant. However, because of her small pelvic bone, she would not be able to give birth normally. She is experiencing pain in the lower abdomen and the doctor has advised her a C-Section for the delivery.

Shakila is really worried and the thought of not being able to deliver normally, is adding to her anxiety. She and her husband are anxious for the birth of their newborn as they don’t have enough money to pay for the delivery and post-operative expenses.

Her husband doesn’t have any permanent job. He is getting training to become a tailor and merely earns 6000 PKR a month. Moreover, he is disabled due to polio and cannot walk. Doing other jobs is impossible for him with this disability. This couple contacted many organizations for help but nobody came forward. They also sought support from relatives and neighbors but all went in vain.

When nothing worked in their favor, they requested Transparent Hands for her surgery. Shakila is about to deliver her child in a few days but she needs not only your prayers but also your financial support.
