Shah Jillani Irfan 's Story
“I can’t describe the happiness I felt when my dear son took his first step. But when he turned 1.5 years old he started having problem defecating. We took him to the hospital. Our world came crashing down when we learned of his serious defect. Please save my son; he means the world to me.”- Jillani’s father.
At the age of one year, Jillani started experiencing constipation. His parents consulted various doctors but the problem persisted. When Jillani turned 2.9 years old he developed abdominal distension and vomiting. He was taken to a local hospital and underwent ileostomy surgery.
After his biopsy in July 2018, he was diagnosed with Hirschsprung disease (HSCR). Doctors prescribed him a Duhamel Pull through Surgery; which would prepare him for his final surgery of Ileostomy Closure.
Jillani is facing hygiene issues due to his condition. He often carries a bad odor, repelling fellow children.
Jillani’s father irons cloths and earns only 500 to 600 a day. He has four sons, including Jillani and one daughter. 3 children are school going. They live in a house provided by father’s uncle. His father cannot afford Jillani’s costly treatment.
Fortunatey, Jillani’s parents learned about Transparent Hands, and appealed for help.
