Muhammad Aslam is a 55 years old family oriented man living a simple life with his wife and his youngest son. His elder son and other 3 daughters are married and are living separately with their extended family.

A few years back, he was diagnosed with stones in the left Kidney and left Ureter but initially, these didn’t hurt him much. However, his health condition began to deteriorate from the last 1 and a half years when he felt pain in the left Lumber area.

He also started to experience symptoms like vomiting, restlessness, sweating and fever. He also feels frequent urge to urinate and there is a foul smell in the urine. From the last six months, his symptoms have worsened so much that he is unable to do his job. He went to many private and government hospitals for treatment. All the doctors have advised him to undergo surgery for permanent relief but he does not have the financial capability to pay for the surgical expenses.

Aslam is a street hawker and sells toys for small kids in his village and hardly earns 400 to 500 per day with an average of 10,000 PKR per month. His wife is also a diabetic patient and needs to take insulin regularly. Within his meager income, he is managing his household expenses and medical fees for both his wife and himself.
