Liaqat Ali is a 52 years old family man suffering from Sever Aortic Stenosis (heart disease) from last 4 months.

He is experiencing symptoms like breathlessness and heavy pressure and tightness in his chest. There is also a decline in his activity level due to fatigue. He is even unable to do normal activities as it increases his palpitations. He was also a patient of TB and has recovered from it completely around 6 months ago.

He went to many hospitals for treatment but didn’t get any relief. Finally, doctors advised him for open heart surgery but he does not have the money to pay for such an expensive operation or other hospital bills.

Liaqat Ali was a shoemaker in a shoe company but he had to give up his job due to his illness. He has 3 children and among them, his elder son is married. His elder son works as a daily wage labourer and earns about 10000 PKR per month. Within this meager income, he is supporting his parents, siblings and his own family as well. In these circumstances, it is impossible for this family to pay for Liaqat Ali’s life-saving surgery.

This poor family is having a tough time these days due to Liaqat’s health. His children are really upset seeing their father in this condition. However, his wife has to remain strong for her family but his declining health is killing her inside.

Liaqat Ali's Story

Liaqat Ali 52 years old was experiencing shortness of breath and palpitations. His percutaneous angiography was done and he was diagnosed as a case of Ischemic heart disease along with stenosis of aortic valve. He was advised open heart surgery - coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) and Aortic valve replacement (AVR). His surgery was done in National Hospital on 14-03-19 by Dr. Ahmed Shehzad. His operation was successful and he was discharged in good health after 4 days of hospital stay.
