Hadiya Liaqat's Story

“My little daughter is in constant misery due to her ailment. It is frustrating to be unable to afford her treatment. I need your donations to cure her from suffering.” – Hadiya’s father.

3 year old, Hadiya Liaqat was born with Anorectal Malformation – Recto Vestibular Fistula; as a result she had fecal discharge through her genital tract. At the age of 2.5 years, her colostomy was made. Then, on 26^th December 2019, her Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty was done, to construct her back passage. Now she needs her final surgery of Colostomy Closure.

Her parents took her to different public and private hospitals for the last surgery, but none of them are ready to operate her, free of cost.

Hadiya’s mother is facing a lot of trouble, maintaining her hygiene and the child is going through much discomfort.

Hadiya has two brothers and a sister; all of them are school going. Her father is a technician at Wateen with a monthly salary of 16,000 PKR. Hadiya’s two uncles also live with them, in a small house.

Her father was very distressed about the expenses of her surgery, until he came across Transparent Hands. He then appealed to the organization for free surgical procedure.

Hadiya Liaqat's Story

Hadiya Liaqat 3 years old baby girl was suffering from Anorectal Malformation (ARM) resulting in abnormal back passage opening into her genital tract. She was operated at the age of 2 ½ years to make a temporary alternate passage for passing stool and her second surgery to construct her back passage at the normal site was done through Transparent Hands a few months ago. Now, her final surgery; colostomy reversal was done in Akram Medical Complex on 23-08-19 by Dr. Naveed Haider. She stayed for four days in hospital with rapid post-operative recovery and was discharged in good health.
