Muhammad Yousaf Khan's Story

Yousaf is an innocent little boy who was born without the sense of hearing. His parents are distressed, but they are also hopeful because he will be able to hear if they get him a cochlear implant. However, it’s a very expensive device and there’s no way for them to afford it without your help. Yousaf’s well-being and future depend on this device. We urge you to donate for Yousaf’s cochlear implant surgery.

Three-year-old Muhammad Yousaf Khan, a resident of Nowshera, has been suffering from hearing loss since he was born. Until his first birthday, his parents were completely unaware of this. His parents took him to the nearest hospital when they discovered he wasn’t responding to his name or other voices. Doctors diagnosed him with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctor recommended that he should get a cochlear implant. An electronic device is surgically installed during the cochlear implant surgery. It helps the patient with developing a sense of hearing.

Yousaf Khan’s parents have some hope now because they know a cochlear implant surgery can help their son. However, they can’t pay for it on their own due to financial constraints.

Yousaf Khan’s parents live in a small house. His father supports a family of four members with a meager income. He is a teacher at a local school and he earns just PKR 12,000 per month. There is no way for Yousaf’s father to pay for the cochlear implant surgery.

Someone told them about Transparent Hands and they reached out to us. We are committed to helping this little boy and his family. But we need your help to improve this little boy’s future.

“Our lives turned upside down when the doctor told us that our son suffers from hearing loss. We realized that he had never even heard our voices. I hope that someone will be able to help us.” – Yousaf’s father

Yousaf’s parents are praying to find generous donors like you to give their son a better future. Please donate for Yousaf’s Cochlear Implant Surgery as much as you can.

Muhammad Yousaf Khan's Story

Three-year-old Yousaf Khan, a resident of Nowshera, had sensorineural hearing loss since birth. His parents learned about his condition and took him to a local hospital when he was a year old. The doctor evaluated him and advised Cochlear Implant Surgery. He was admitted to Ali Medical Centre, Islamabad, where Dr. Jawad performed his operation on 18-06-2022. He installed the internal component of the cochlear implant successfully. He was discharged after one day of stay in the hospital. After six weeks, the external component of his cochlear implant was also fixed. Yousaf Khan is no longer a stranger to the world of sounds.
