Yasmeen Ali's Story

Yasmeen is an Arabic name that means a Jasmine flower. Yasmeen’s parents named her in the hope of turning her life into a bed of flowers. But, lately, Yasmeen’s life has been nothing but a bed of thorns. Yasmeen is expecting a child and needs a C-section. We request you to please donate for Yasmeen’s C-section as much as you can. 

Twenty Eight years old Yasmeen hails from a small town near Khanewal. Four years ago, Yasmeen suffered an incalculable loss of her firstborn. Due to several complications in her pregnancy, she suffered from pregnancy-induced hypertension, which resulted in a stillbirth. Yasmeen was terribly grief-stricken from that. Now, Yasmeen is expecting again. Seeing her medical history, the doctor has advised her to undergo a C-section. Without a C-section, Yasmeen and her baby’s life will be compromised yet again. 

Unfortunately, Yasmeen cannot afford the hefty cost of a C-section. Her husband drives an auto-rickshaw and hardly earns PKR 400 per day. Moreover, he is still paying instalments for his rickshaw and, is therefore in no position to arrange for his wife’s C section. We had a conversation with him, and he told us:

“Losing my baby was the biggest trauma of our lives. We had barely had a head start to our new married life, and we were stricken with grief so soon. Now, we are terribly afraid for our unborn baby. We do not want to lose him at all. Whoever is reading this, I request you all to please help us.”
