Donate for Wahid’s Cystoscopy & Optical Urethrotomy
Abdul Wahid's Story
Before you proceed to read the gory details of Abdul Wahid’s ailment, please know that you can help him. Your donation, however small it may be, will get Abdul Wahid healthy and happy. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Wahid’s Cystoscopy and Optical Urethrotomy as much as you can.
For the last three months, forty-four years old Abdul Wahid has been suffering from Urethral Stricture. Urethral stricture is a narrowing of the urethra. The urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder through the penis and out the urethral meatus (the opening at the tip of the penis) during urination. To treat this painful and uncomfortable condition, the doctor has advised Abdul Wahid to undergo a Cystoscopy and Optical Urethrotomy. This involves a telescopic inspection of the urethra and bladder, to reduce the narrowing in the urethra with a telescopic knife or laser. This helps with the relief of urinary obstruction and improves the urinary flow.
Unfortunately, Abdul Wahid cannot afford the hefty cost of the surgery. Abdul Wahid is the sole breadwinner of his family. He works as a cleric in the local mosque and hardly manages to earn PKR 13,000 per month. In this measly income, it is entirely impossible for him to arrange for his surgery at a private hospital. He told us:
“I have circled back and forth to many public hospitals in search of free hospitals. But, unfortunately, I could not get a date. Everyone at the hospital asked me to come back after COVID. Tell me, when will this nightmare be over?”
After a lot of distress, Abdul Wahid has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We wish to arrange his surgery as soon as we can. But, that won’t be possible without your help. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Wahid’s Cystoscopy & Optical Urethrotomy as much as you can.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
