In the age of mere five years, Muhammad Umair has suffered the pain of a lifetime. Five years old Muhammad Umair has been suffering from penile hypospadias since birth. In hypospadias, the opening of the urethra is located on the underside of the penis instead of at the tip. At the age of two, he underwent the stag I surgery. Now, to treat this condition, the doctor has advised Muhammad Umair to undergo a stag II operation.  This operation is an easy solution to Muhammad Umair’s condition. However, it is not an accessible one.

Unfortunately, Umair’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of the surgery. Because, his father is the sole earner of the family. He works as a fruit vendor and hardly earns PKR 500 per day. In this meager salary, he is in no position to arrange for his son’s surgery. In a conversation with us, he told us:

“Even if I save for a lifetime, I cannot raise enough money to fund my son’s surgery. Oftentimes, I stay up the entire night worrying about my son’s future. Who will come for his rescue? In these grim circumstances, Transparent Hands is the only ray of hope right now. I request you all to help my son live a normal life.”

The only thing standing between Muhammad Umair and the surgery is financial constraint. After a lot of distress, Muhammad Umair’s parents have registered his case with Transparent Hands.
