Ulfat Naseer's Story
Ulfat Naseer, 22 years old, felt fullness in her abdominal area. She also suffered from abdominal pain. On initial medical consultation, she was advised an ultrasound. The results of the ultrasound revealed that she had a lump in her abdomen which was diagnosed as a mesenteric cyst. This diagnosis was made five months ago. At first, Ulfat thought that this cyst could be cured naturally so she did not opt for medical treatment. However, when the symptoms persisted, she consulted a physician again. This time, she was referred to a surgeon who recommended an exploratory laparotomy for her. This particular surgical procedure is performed to remove the cyst and get it biopsied to rule out any possibility of a dangerous tumor.
The problem at hand is that Ulfat comes from a financially disadvantaged background. Her father is an Imam at a local mosque. He is the sole earner of the family with five people dependent on his earning. They have to make both ends meet on his PKR 10,000 salary per month. In these circumstances, Ulfat’s family tried consulting the local hospitals. But, she was not offered free treatment anywhere. Private hospitals and their costly treatment packages are completely out of the family’s reach.
“I have been trying to arrange funds for my daughter’s surgery for months now. However, it is extremely difficult to save money when you have to feed a family of five on a single pay. The daily expenditures and monthly bills are increasing day-by-day. I spend my entire day worrying about this and the entire night praying for my daughter’s health.”- Ulfat Naseer’s father said
In these difficult circumstances, their family friend told them about our organization. The family contacted our team and we registered Ulfat’s case with us. Your donations would mean the world to Ulfat and her family. So, please consider making a generous donation for her.
