Said Arshid Ali Bacha's Story
Said Arshid Ali Bacha, a 45 years old male from Mardan suffers from a cardiac condition called IHD. IHD stands for ischemic heart disease and refers to the cardiac problems created by narrowed heart arteries. You might have heard about this disease already by some other name such as coronary artery disease. The restricted blood flow because of narrowed arteries creates a deficiency in oxygen supply to cardiac muscles. The recommended surgical procedure for Said Arshid is CABG open heart surgery because of critical narrowing involving all major coronary vessels.
We can guess that not many of you are familiar with CABG open heart surgery, so let us briefly talk about it. CABG stands for coronary artery bypass graft and is the recommended surgical procedure used for treating coronary heart disease. The main aim of a CABG is to improve the overall blood flow by diverting blood around the clogged arteries. The better blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart efficiently ameliorate the overall condition. While there is no doubt about CABG’s effectiveness as a surgical treatment for IHD, the fact that it is a costly procedure cannot be ignored. A thought that has been bothering Said Arshid as well. He says:
“I am a labourer, all I earn per month is 13,000 PKR. Sometimes, it is even less than that. But the recent turmoil in my life has made everything look insignificant. And even though the doctors tell me IHD is treatable, I have no funds left for the treatment. My angioplasty was funded by Transparent Hands and now, I am relying on the organization for my coronary artery surgery as well. You can consider your donations as the last hope that I have.”
We are not going to disappoint Said. We are going to help him. However, we need your support on this journey as well, we can’t do much alone! So, join hands with Transparent Hands and donate for Said Arshid Ali Bacha’s CABG NOW!
