Muhammad Riaz, aged thirty-four, hails from Multan. He has been suffering from the painful condition of right inguinal hernia for the last six months. A hernia is an extremely painful condition that can make the patient’s life quite discontented. Simply described, a hernia refers to the protrusion of an organ or tissue through the weak cavity wall. 

To treat this painful condition, the doctor has advised Muhammad Riaz to undergo a Mesh Repair. Mesh repair is probably the safest way of treating a hernia. Surgical meshes are made of biological material and are placed in a manner such that they support the defect in tissues. While there is no doubt about the effectiveness of this surgical procedure, it is an expensive procedure. Unfortunately, Muhammad Riaz cannot afford the hefty cost of his surgery. He works as a laborer and hardly earns PKR 4000 per week. In this measly income, he cannot arrange for his surgery. He told us:
