Rehana Bibi's Story

Before you read Rehana Bibi’s tale of woes, please know that your help can bring her baby into this world safely. Your donation, however small it may be, will relieve Rehana Bibi of the constant worries that occupy her mind right now. Therefore, we request you to please donate for Rehana’s C section as much as you can. 

Thirty-one years old Rehana Bibi is a mother of three beautiful children. Due to some complications in her previous pregnancies, both of these children were delivered through C- section. Now, Rehana Bibi is pregnant for the fourth time. Seeing her previous medical records and current situation, the gynecologist has advised her to undergo another C section to deliver her baby. Without the C section, Rehana and her baby’s life would stay compromised.

Lower segmentation Caesarean section is the most common type of C-section. In this surgical procedure, the surgeon makes an incision a little above the urinary bladder’s connection with the uterus. The location of this incision is the lower segment, hence the procedure is called lower segmentation C-section. Unfortunately, Rehana Bibi cannot afford the hefty cost of this procedure. Rehana’s husband is the sole earner of the family. He works as a laborer and hardly manages to earn PKR 15000 per month. In this measly income, he is hardly able to keep the household running. Therefore, he is in no position to arrange his wife’s C Section. Rehana Bibi told us:

“Please help me bring my baby into this world safely. I have been nothing but distressed over this for the past few months.”
