Twenty-two-year-old Rabia Bibi is a mother of a beautiful baby. Due to some complications in her previous pregnancy, she had a C-Section to deliver her previous baby. Now, Rabia Bibi is pregnant for the third time. Seeing her previous medical records and current situation, the gynecologist has advised her to undergo another C-Section to deliver her baby. Without the C-Section, Rabia and her baby’s life would stay compromised.
Lower segmentation Cesarean section is the most common type of C-section. In this surgical procedure, the surgeon makes an incision a little above the urinary bladder’s connection with the uterus. The location of this incision is the lower segment, hence the process is called lower segmentation C-section. Unfortunately, Rabia Bibi cannot afford the hefty cost of this procedure. Rabia Bibi’s husband is the sole earner of the family. He works as a laborer on daily wages and hardly manages to earn PKR 500 per day which makes a rough total of around PKR 15,000 per month. This income only fulfils the small household expenses. Rabia told us:
“Whoever is reading this, I request you to please donate for my baby’s safe delivery into this world. I am very worried. Please put my mind at ease.”

Rabia Bibi's Story
Rabia Bibi, a 22-year-old resident of Multan, was expecting her second child. Rabia’s pregnancy did not go very smoothly as she was facing some health problems. Due to her history of a previous C-Section, the Gynecologist advised Rabia to go for an Elective Cesarean Section Surgery. But since Rabia’s Husband is a daily wager and hardly manages to put food on the table, they could not afford it. They found out about Transparent Hands and contacted us for help. We registered her case and sent her to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust to get her surgery done by Dr. Arif Siddiq on 06-01-2022. Rabia delivered a beautiful baby girl. She was discharged after three days of hospital stay. Both the mother and baby are safe and sound.
